Leila Shea Christensen graduated with a bachelors degree in English at the age of 19. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a legal assistant, becoming familiar with the workings of a law office from the ground up. The oldest daughter of an electrician and a stay-at-home mom, it was her first exposure to the law. This background enables her to not only relate to her clients, many of whom have never seen the inside of a law office before meeting her for the first time, but also allows her to run an efficient law firm. She attended law school at Brigham Young University and is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Kansas and Nevada.
During law school, Leila was an active member of the Women’s Law Forum and the Minority Law Student Association. Following her second year of law school, she participated in William & Mary’s summer abroad in Madrid, Spain through the Marshall-Wyeth School of Law. She is fluent in Spanish.
After law school, Leila worked in Las Vegas before relocating to Missouri, where her parents and six (of seven) younger siblings live. She enjoys running and plans to complete the Kansas City Marathon in October 2010 – it will be her first.
